SUMMARY: Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center (EOC Tech) is seeking an experienced construction professional to serve as a part-time instructor for our new ACD Construction Management Academy. The instructor will provide practical, hands-on training to adults pursuing careers or advancement in construction management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Help develop curriculum, course content, and hands-on learning activities
- Teach evening, short-term construction management courses
- Provide practical, industry-based instruction
- Use real-world examples, construction documents, and hands-on activities
- Support students in developing skills needed for construction management careers
- Collaborate with EOC Tech and local industry partners
- Keep course content current with industry practices and technology
A degree is not required. Relevant industry experience and demonstrated knowledge may substitute for formal education.
Minimum Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Construction certification
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, supervision, project management, estimating, or a related field
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and project coordination
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with adult learners
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Construction estimating and takeoffs
- Project scheduling
- Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project
- RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
- Jobsite supervision and leadership
- Construction technology and digital tools
